What is the band boosters organiZaTION?

This parent-run organization is committed to creating an environment in which our students can achieve greatness in their academic endeavors through a highly disciplined music-based curriculum. Given the minimal financial support that the Swansea Band Programs receive from Lexington School District 4 to the arts, the Band Boosters assist, sponsor, and support – financially and otherwise – the overall Band Program.

HOW CAN I HELP THE BAND BOOSTERS?

We need parents like you to share your time, skills, and talent with an amazing group of young people and parents who freely give and support the Band Program. The band boosters offer many opportunities to help out. If you have talent(s) for something and want to volunteer, please reach out to a board member or email volunteer@swanseabandboosters.org.

how do i get a Membership?

Membership is open to individuals or families of students who participate in band at Frances Mack Intermediate School, Sandhills Middle School, and/or Swansea High School.

The Swansea Band Booster Executive Board is the official decision-making body of the Boosters. Executive Officers include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Fundraising Director. Open monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month when needed. Any parent or guardian of a band member is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Your involvement as a Band Booster is critical to the success of our students' band experience!  The most important thing you can do is to volunteer your time and talents to the bands and booster activities. There are many opportunities. Whether you have just a little time, or a lot; have a skill or not; all that’s required is the desire to support our kids.

You can check out the Volunteer page to see where you can help. The rewards are endless. Best of all, you will be involved in your student’s life and the futures of many young musicians. That’s an investment worth making.
